Internal Wall Insulation
Internal wall insulation (IWI) is a smart and affordable way of keeping the walls of your property warm and dry. It can be installed on most construction types although properties built prior to 1930 will fully utilise its benefits given that they are usually comprised of 9” thick solid brick walls.
This type of “fabric first” approach is now favoured by our government given the impact it can have on reducing the demand for energy on a dwelling. By installing this retrofit insulation, you can improve the thermal performance and comfort levels of your home while also reducing both your carbon emissions and your energy bills.
While external wall insulation is preferable for the protection of the building fabric and reduced moisture risks, internal wall insulation offers flexibility and reduced constraints around installation.
